National ADBC Museum Education & Research Center
The American Defenders of Bataan and Corregidor (ADBC) chose the Brooke County Library to be their official depository. The museum houses books, documents, and artifacts of this special group that defended their country as America entered World War II. Without adequate resources, they were forced into camps, and then sent to Japan and other Southeast location on "Hellships," being bombed by their own country who did not know they were on the Japanese ships. The library contains many oral histories of these men's stories. ADBC is in the process of digitizing documents related to this story topic.
